About This Program

Our Chinese (Mandarin) Program offers structured Mandarin instruction from complete beginner to advanced levels, aligned with the internationally recognized HSK (汉语水平考试) framework and the Youth Chinese Test (YCT) for younger learners. With Cambodia’s growing economic and cultural ties with China, Mandarin proficiency opens doors to higher education, business, and regional career opportunities.

Curriculum & Grade Levels

1

Pinyin & Pronunciation

All initials, finals, tones (1st–4th + neutral), tone sandhi rules, and correct Mandarin pronunciation with native-speaker audio support.

Chinese Characters (汉字)

Basic stroke order, radical recognition, and writing the first 150–300 characters covering daily vocabulary.

Speaking & Conversation

Greetings, numbers, colors, family members, classroom language, and simple daily dialogues — taught through songs, games, and role plays (YCT 1–3 vocabulary).

Listening Comprehension

Understanding simple Mandarin instructions, short conversations, and stories through audio and multimedia exercises.

Basic Reading

Reading simple sentences and short illustrated texts in Mandarin — YCT 1–3 reader level.

Cultural Exploration

Chinese New Year, Mid-Autumn Festival, Dragon Boat Festival, calligraphy basics, and folk stories.

Master HSK 1 (150 words) and HSK 2 (300 words) vocabulary covering everyday topics: food, transport, shopping, weather, and health.

Grammar Fundamentals

Basic sentence structure (SVO), question words, negation (不/没), measure words, and verb aspects.

Conversational Mandarin

Shopping dialogues, asking for directions, ordering food, and simple social interactions.

Reading & Writing Characters

Writing 150–300 characters with correct stroke order, simplified character recognition, and reading short texts.

Listening Practice

Audio drills, HSK mock listening exercises, and exposure to standard Mandarin speech.

HSK Exam Preparation

Practice tests, exam techniques, and timed mock examinations for HSK 1 and HSK 2 certification.

HSK 3 (600 words) and HSK 4 (1,200 words) covering topics: education, work, culture, travel, media, and current events.

Complement structures, resultative complements, directional complements, aspect particles (了/过/着), and complex sentences.
